The breathtaking Jemez Mountain Trail where you will see the ancient pueblo ruins at Bandelier National Monument and marvel at the vastness of the Valles Caldera with its numerous herds of elk.

Hot springs
Then on to Jemez Springs where rejuvenating hot mineral springs await. Visit the Giggling Springs or Jemez Springs Bath House.

ghost ranch
How about an outing to Abiquiu to visit Ghost Ranch's museums and trails, Abiquiu reservoir, and the colorful countryside that Georgia O'Keeffe found so irresistible.

skiing and snowboarding
In 15 minutes. That's the way we like it. Pajarito Mountain Ski Area will surprise and delight you if you are a lover of powdered slopes, great runs, short lines, and friendly people, 5 lifts, ski, snowboard and telemark lessons, and a rental shop. What more could you ask for? After all, this is paradise.

The only outdoor refrigerated ice rink in New Mexico. It is open from Thanksgiving to the end of February.

The Los Alamos Golf Course is a favorite, but if you want more, Black Mesa Golf Club and Towa Golf Course are near by.
